家裡的寬頻由18M升級至30M，最重要的是上載速度由800Kbps一下子上升到10Mbps
，這個升幅令往返英國香港的檔案傳輸快很多，以後都不會再受到上傳速度只有100KB/s的痛苦纏繞
，下載速度方面亦有不少的增幅。
升級初初的一天，上傳速度奇怪地鎖死在140KB/s，研究了很久都不知道發生了什麼事，撥了電話給PCCW探個究竟，他們經過檢查後回覆了說我們的網路十分正常…並會派師父上門檢查。
後來自己遙距檢查自己server及router的設定時發現了兩年前set下來的ＱoS設定，限了上傳速度在1Mbps左右。剷了這設定後上傳速度回復了正常。
我由香港傳了一個檔案去我英國部電腦作測試，竟然有1233KB/s~，都還算不錯。
I was always thinking whether or not I should buy the Orange box since it costs quite a bit, and to be honest, I don’t think I will dedicate myself too much time to gaming. 
Last time I checked on play.com or on Steam, the price was still 24/25 pounds, but this weekend the Orange Box is being sold on Steam for an additional special 66% off, that is, 9.99 US only. So guess what, I finally bought the Orange Box, albeit a bit late since the package came out late 2007 or early 2008. 
Equivalent to the price of a cheap meal, I managed to get Half-Life 2 (which I have already got), HL2 Episode One, HL2 Episode Two, HL2 : Lost Coast, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. So anyone who has a Steam account without HL2 could contact me if they wish to receive a free copy. 
I will probably end up only playing Portal and Team Fortress 2 over the summer (if I have the time), and if I bother. It is definitely well worth the bucks.

終於都把香港的寬頻計畫由18M升級到30M，安排了月尾更換modem。
可以擺脫長期上載龜速的困擾～

繼續為我部差不多兩年的laptop升級，除了之前的WD Cavier Blue 500GB和條DDR2 800 SODIMM 2GB 之外，今日還加入了一塊mini-PCIE 的2GB”Intel Turbo Memory”。是次升級是因為上次更換硬碟和記憶體的時候，我意外發現了原來我部laptop還有一條空的mini-PCIE槽，因為這樣我就「身痕」想增加部laptop的效能。
我部laptop個BIOS都寫得頗奇怪，除非安了Intel Turbo Memory，否則 ICH8M的AHCI功能就會不能開啟。所以安了那個module後，可以順便開啟埋AHCI同NCQ。
Intel Turbo Memory 其實只是一粒普通NAND Flash，安後便可開啟Microsoft Windows Vista裡的 Ready Drive 和 Ready Boost 功能，理論上可以增加效能。就算效能增長不多，我以後都不用長期在laptop的外面插著一條thumb drive用而開啟Ready Boost。
